half of what I say is meaningless
As an artist I know that I’m recycling chord progressions and make melodies on pleasing intervals used time and time before, but it is a bit of a revelation of understanding that we have such interlinkedness across all forms of creativity - as Newton once said “we are but dwarves standing on the shoulders of giants”… who himself happened to be coying Bernard de Chartres! This is also a good excuse to listen to a wide variety of music!
